It’s making me sad. How slowly I’m getting used to you not being around me anymore. How I forget the way you speak or the tone of your voice. The way you eat or the way you snicker. How your face shows everything that you feel. Even the way you smell. All of these things, these landmarks of you that I have learned to slowly live without. I’m afraid of something, and I happen to know what it is. You are beggining to become a dull ache in my heart. You’re there. You’re still there…but only a glimmer. But still it scares me, this knowledge that as surely I’ve come to love you, I’ve also slowly realized how much you’ve made me forget.
